The Valley of Fire

February 13, 2016

Last weekend I dragged Ke to accompany me to Vegas as I witnessed my hero in person for the first time, Mariah Carey. We’ve both been to Vegas many times before and wanted to find things to do off the strip.

We decided to go to the Valley of Fire State Park, just an hour drive away from the strip. What a great decision it was! The Valley of Fire is absolutely gorgeous.

We left on a Saturday morning as early as we could and ended up with empty roads and the park almost to ourselves. We left the strip around 7:30am and arrived at the park around 8:30am. Due to the time of year, it was also amazing weather. I wish we had all day to spend here but had to get back in time for Mariah Carey :D.

Next time I have time to kill in Vegas, I’d love to come back for a longer hike and perhaps even camping.
